If you want to drop by or stay in the City of Pines before and after your Sagada trip, then this is the route for you. There are a few bus lines from Manila plying to Baguio City. These bus lines have various terminals located in different areas of Metro Manila. From Baguio City, there are two lines that ply directly to Sagada. Buses leave by schedule.

Some people take this route to see the popular rice terraces in Banaue, Ifugao. The journey, however, involves four transfers so it can be quite exhausting. Haven't tried this one yet but you can check out the info here.

The trip starts with a bus ride from Manila to Bontoc, the capital of Mountain Province. Travel time is about 12 hours. A jeepney ride from Bontoc to Sagada takes another 45 minutes. Check out more info about this route here.
