Home of the Jumbo Tacos: The Coffee Shop Restaurant, Olongapo City

The Coffee Shop Restaurant in Olongapo City, Zambales is famous not for its coffee but jumbo tacos. This is probably the biggest taco I've ever seen and tasted, hence, their tagline "Home of the Jumbo Tacos".

Jumbo Taco Salad with Sour Cream

It's my second time to visit this place, both during our trip to San Felipe, Zambales for a weekend surfing. If you happen to visit Subic, Olangapo City or anywhere in Zambales, you can drop by and have a taste of their humungos taco. Warning though: I highly suggest that you don't eat anything heavy prior to coming here because mind you, this thing is big. Consuming everything might be a challenge. lol.

The Coffee Shop Restaurant is located along the highway so it's easy to spot

They have a few different flavors of taco salad such as spicy but the one that we would usually order is the Jumbo Taco Salad with Sour Cream. Each serving costs P175 and matches well with frozen iced tea (P50). Aside from tacos, there are lots of choices such as sandwiches, desserts, full meals, coffee and more.

Beef steak which costs P190 and good for 2 persons

Filipino style spaghetti (I ordered this a year ago during our first visit)

the food looks good, but fattening. the building looks fun and artistic, like a fun place for artists and writers to hang out to discuss their artwork and writing over lunch or dinner.

those tacos just brought back memories from my childhood. we used to eat there when we go to Cabangan (next to San Felipe) for holidays. it was 90 bucks back then. at sa sobrang dalas eh naumay na kami. ngayon namiss ko ito bigla :)
