Enjoy a taste of Spain at Te Quiero Tapas Bar & Restaurant in Baguio City

What a fantastic first day it has been! But we're not yet done with our gastronomic adventure as we were set to have our dinner at Te Quiero Tapas Bar and Restaurant located just beside Victory Liner terminal and Microtel Inn and Suites.

This is another first time for me as it was for the most of us. Despite the chilly evening, we've managed to walk down from Upstairs Bed and Bath to Te Quiero feeling all excited for this dining treat. From the name itself Te Quiero, a Spanish term which means "I love you", you will definitely love the place and their food!

Te Quiero Tapas Bar and Restaurant offers a variety of Spanish dishes. We're fortunate to have visited the place on a Saturday evening because we enjoyed their "Tapas Night" (which only happens every Friday and Saturday night), a buffet featuring a variety of authentic Spanish dishes--from snacks to appetizers and other delicious specialties. The price is P350 per person.

Ready to eat! ;-)

Upon entering we passed by a band playing live acoustic music while making our way into their dining area where a central table filled with buffet food greeted us. For folks who want some intimate and romantic dining setup, Te Quiero is the place to be. The restaurant is not that big but I love the old-fashioned yet charming design that complements the warm and relaxed ambiance.

Aside from the exquisite interior, the restaurant also offers an amazing view of Baguio's nighttime scenery from the open windows. It adds up to an incredible dining experience.

Beef Short Ribs in Au Jus

It didn't take so long before we finally got to eat. I must say that the buffet food is very well presented. With a lot of choices presented before us, I couldn't decide which one to taste first. One dish that drew the carnivore in me, however, was the monstrous Beef Short Ribs in Au Jus. It looked so mouth-watering that I couldn't resist having it on my plate on the first serving (yes...there's second and third serving that followed). Indeed, it was to die for. The meat is tender and juicy and flavorful. Delicioso!

As a seafood lover, another winner for me was the Sauteed Seafood followed by Arroz ala Valenciana which is one of the popular Spanish dishes. Of course, those looking for something fresh and organic will find their healthy food choices such fruits, Potato Salad and Mixed Garden Salad really good. We were told that the menu on their buffet is changed constantly so that's something to look forward to if you decide to come back again (which I'm pretty sure you will).

After a very sumptuous dinner, we were given the opportunity to tour inside Microtel Baguio. Te Quiero Tapas Bar & Restaurant is actually the in-house restaurant of Microtel Inn and Suites by Wyndham.

I have seen the front facade of Microtel Baguio during day time and it actually looks very cool with its bright colored exteriors. It turns into a festive mood at night with its Christmas lights and decoration.
